Author Lauren R. Jahnke Has Over 20 Years of Health Policy Experience

Lauren Rivera Jahnke, MPAff, is a self-employed health care consultant in Austin, Texas. She has been researching and writing about health care policy and issues on the city, state, and national levels for over 20 years, including health insurance, health care reform, and health care disparities. Lauren completed federal training and assisted people with enrolling in individual marketplace health plans as a volunteer certified application counselor for one open enrollment period, which was very enlightening.

Lauren has a bachelor’s degree in biology, a master’s degree in public affairs, and a graduate certificate in public health (all from The University of Texas).
